It
is relatively easy to get around Lincoln by foot, the only obstacle
being the steep hill between the uphill historic sector and the
downhill city centre.
The
City Council's new Walk & Ride bus service overcomes this problem,
running in a circular route around the main historic, tourist and
shopping centres for £1 per journey.
The
pick-up and drop-off points are shown on our Interactive
Map, and more details can be obtained via this
downloadable PDF leaflet on the Lincoln City Council website.
There
are numerous car parks in both uphill and downhill Lincoln for those
navigating around the city by car, though these can be infuriatingly
difficult to find space in during busy periods. The main car parks
are also shown on our Interactive
Map.
Black
cabs are available from the taxi rank outside the railway station
in the city centre, or alternatively minicabs can be hired by ringing
the companies listed below.
